Poor battery life

First I want to thank you for all the effort to develop software for Samsung Galaxy. I tested all the versions that mustymod made. Each new version has been getting better and better. Last version (Eclair 2.1), as well as previous versions have problems with battery life.
All you can turn off the phone I turned off. Despite this battery does not hold a single day. Maybe I do not know how to set up mobile phone battery that lasts longer?
I really do not understand what to try to develop the rest, if you can not get the battery lasts longer. IK4 ROM battery lasts four days. No matter what a lot of things in these ROMs is not working I would use it every day, if the battery lasts longer.

It seems that cpu is running at 527 MHz all the time, not changing to less like it does in IK5 at ~326 MHz at SMS writing for example. But I guess it´s still a question of time when this problem will be solved.
